Abandoned Furniture

In this project, I created a series of photos that captured the essence of Wabi Sabi - a Japanese philosophy that captures the idea that imperfection and impermanence surround us yet that is precisely what makes life beautiful. From wandering around the neighborhoods of Saratoga Springs, I used discarded furniture as my subject. Using low depth of field and proximity to my subjects, I identified the flaws of seemingly quality pieces of furniture.
